Every day, a 70-year-old retiree bought 40 kilograms of meat from a butcher she knew 😱😨
The elderly woman visited the same butcher shop every day. She was short and hunched over, wearing an old coat and pulling a worn-out wheeled cart behind her.
“— The usual, forty kilos of beef,” she would quietly say, handing over neatly folded bills.
The young butcher was astonished each time. Forty kilograms! That was nearly half a cow. The first time, he assumed she was feeding a large family. But week after week, it repeated exactly the same way.
She said almost nothing, avoided eye contact, grabbed the bags, and left. There was a strange, pungent smell about her — a mix of iron, rotting meat, and something else the butcher couldn’t quite identify.

Rumors quickly spread around the market. Vendors whispered:
— “They say she’s feeding her son’s family.”
— “Or maybe she’s feeding dogs.”
— “Or perhaps she runs an underground restaurant…”
The butcher didn’t believe the gossip, but his curiosity grew each day. One evening, he decided to follow her — waiting until she left the shop, he trailed behind at a distance.
The woman walked slowly but steadily, pulling the heavy cart of meat over the snow-covered streets. She passed the outskirts of the city, crossed abandoned garages, and headed toward an old factory — the one that had been empty for ten years.
The butcher froze. She went inside and disappeared along with the meat.
Twenty minutes later, the old woman came out — the bags were gone. Not a trace of meat remained.
The next day, the same routine repeated. By the third day, the butcher couldn’t resist. He waited until she disappeared inside, then quietly followed her.
Inside the factory, there was a strange smell, and he heard muffled, unusual noises. Peering through a crack in the wall, his heart nearly stopped 😱😱.
Inside, behind massive cages, sat four enormous lions. Their eyes gleamed in the dim light of a single lamp. Bones and fresh cuts of beef littered the floor.

In the corner, in an old armchair, sat the very same grandmother, whispering gently:
“— Calm down, my darlings… soon you’ll have a fight… people will come to watch…”
The butcher stumbled back, unable to believe what he was seeing. Then one of the lions let out a sudden roar, echoing across the empty hall. The woman turned and saw him.
“— What are you doing here?!” she hissed.
The young man bolted outside and immediately called the police.
When law enforcement arrived, they were stunned. The elderly woman was a former zoologist. After the city zoo closed, she had taken several animals to “save them from dying,” but soon realized she could make money from them.
Deep inside the factory, authorities discovered an arena and claw marks on the walls. The woman had been secretly organizing underground lion fights, attracting wealthy spectators in secret.
