Kevin Federline and Britney Spears were married for three years and share two sons: Sean, 18, and Jayden, 17. After their divorce, the singer continued paying child support to the dancer until November 2024.
The pop star’s ex opened up about their relationship in his memoir titled “You Thought You Knew.” In the book, Kevin revealed shocking details about their family life, accusing Britney of unusual and concerning behavior.
Federline claimed that Spears frightened their children. “Sometimes they would wake up at night and see her silently standing in the doorway, watching them sleep with a knife in her hand. ‘Oh, you’re not asleep?’ Britney would ask. Then she would turn around and leave without explanation,” he wrote. He believes these experiences caused the boys to hesitate for years to visit their mother.
The 43-year-old also expressed worry over Britney’s well-being, suggesting she needs help. “The truth is, Britney’s situation seems to be rapidly heading toward something irreversible. It’s no longer possible to pretend everything is okay. From my perspective, the clock is ticking, and it’s almost eleven. If things don’t change, something bad will happen, and what I fear most is that our sons will be left with these fragments,” Kevin stated emotionally.
He also recounted a critical night in 2008 when Spears was admitted to the psychiatric ward at UCLA’s Ronald Reagan Medical Center. She was placed under psychiatric supervision after refusing to hand over custody of the children to Kevin.
Kevin described that night as one of the most difficult of his life. “I was devastated by what she was going through. She was the person I loved, the one I built a life with, the mother of my children. I was never against Britney—I was just trying to help our sons build a strong relationship with their mother. It’s hard because when I truly reflect on everything that happened, my children don’t know the woman I married. And I’ve spent two decades trying to bridge that gap.”
Meanwhile, Spears frequently posts provocative videos on her personal blog, often dancing in revealing outfits. In 2023, she even shared clips of herself performing risky moves while holding knives.
