In 2017, Kevin Spacey suffered public humiliation when the actor was stripped of his Emmy nomination following allegations of sexual harassment from actor Anthony Rapp, later joined by other accusers. This marked the beginning of the end of Spacey’s career: he lost major roles and was no longer invited to new projects. However, in 2023, the actor was acquitted of all charges.
Emmys and Racism
In 2021, viewers were outraged when African American actor Michael Kenneth Williams, who had died shortly before the awards, did not receive any recognition. Despite being nominated four times, he never won. The incident sparked widespread discussions about racism. Many protested that although numerous talented African American actors had been nominated, none took home an award.

An unpleasant situation for any woman, but especially for celebrities. In 2024, Rita Ora and Eiza González showed up at the ceremony wearing nearly identical gowns with only slight differences. Still, the awkward coincidence didn’t stop either actress from confidently posing on the red carpet.
