Legendary actress Jennifer Aniston broke her silence for the first time in 20 years, candidly sharing the pain caused by the scandalous “love triangle” that destroyed her marriage to Brad Pitt. The 56-year-old Friends star called Pitt and Jolie’s affair on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith a true “disgrace.” Notably, Jennifer even discusses Brad with his other ex.
The story, which ended in divorce after five years of marriage, made Aniston a tabloid headline favorite. While Pitt was building a new family, marrying Jolie, and later enduring his own painful divorce, Jennifer remained under intense media scrutiny.
“It was very hurtful. I took it very personally,” the actress admitted in a Vanity Fair interview.
She recalled telling herself at the time, “Just stand up and move on, girl,” trying to cope with the wave of headlines about the “unhappy Jen.”
In 2005, after the breakup, she opened her home to journalists for the first time, confessing: “Am I lonely? Yes. Am I upset? Yes. Am I confused? Yes. Do I have my pity days? Absolutely.” The actress couldn’t hold back her emotions and cried during the interview.
