Recently, it became known that Taylor Swift received a proposal from her beloved, NFL player Travis Kelce. The touching moment was captured in photos, and it truly looked like something out of a fairytale. Shortly after the news went public, it was revealed that Travis actually popped the question under a little pressure from his future father-in-law and his own dad.
According to foreign media, Kelce was very anxious about making the proposal grand, perfectly planned, and flawless. Reports say Travis wanted to postpone the big moment, but his father Ed Kelce and Taylor’s dad Scott Swift gave him a gentle push to go ahead.
“A couple of weeks ago, Travis finally made up his mind—after several weeks of nudging from me and Scott Swift. He was always going to do it, but he wanted the perfect way, the perfect proposal,” said Ed Kelce.
He also added that what his son really needed was just to take the leap, no matter where it happened:
“We kept telling him: ‘The very act of proposing is what makes the moment special. Don’t stress about the location. Just do it. You could propose on the side of the road—what makes it meaningful is that it’s yours.’”
