“She had four legs — but wait until you see her child!” 🤯🦵 Myrtle Corbin amazed the world with her extraordinary condition, yet one photo of her baby left everyone in awe.

While some saw a deformity, nature had crafted something truly unique. Born in 1868 in Tennessee, Myrtle Corbin had a rare condition called dipygus, giving her two pelvises and an extra pair of legs. Despite her unusual anatomy, she led a life full of achievements and personal fulfillment.

At just 13, Myrtle joined traveling shows as “The Four-Legged Girl from Texas.” Her remarkable appearance drew massive crowds, turning her into a star. The attention was so intense that other performers staged imitations, hoping to share in her fame.
By the age of 19, she left the stage to marry James Clinton Bicknell. Reports suggest that she also had two sets of reproductive organs. Over time, she became a mother to five healthy children, proving that her condition didn’t prevent her from enjoying family life.

Away from public attention, Myrtle was known for her intelligence, grace, and musical talent. She ran her household with care and lived peacefully with her loved ones, far from the spectacle of show business.

Myrtle passed away in 1928, just six days shy of her 60th birthday, due to a skin infection. Fearing her body might be exploited, her family poured concrete over her coffin and guarded it until it was secure.
Would you want an extra limb? And should people with rare physical conditions take center stage in public life?
