Once a Famous ’80s Star, Now a Mystery: See How Escaping Fame Changed Everything!

Heather Thomas, now 67, the iconic ’80s star best remembered as Jody Banks on The Fall Guy, was recently seen enjoying a cigarette in Los Angeles. Sporting casual white frayed denim shorts and a wide-brimmed straw hat, she flaunted her tanned legs and signature long blonde hair. Though she’s long stepped away from Hollywood, fans of the hit action series still instantly recognize her.

Thomas rose to fame in the 1980s, starring alongside Lee Majors and Douglas Barr in The Fall Guy (1981–1986), a show about stunt performers who doubled as bounty hunters. Her film career included titles like Zapped! (1982), Cyclone (1987), and Against the Law (1997). After leaving acting, she pursued work as a writer, author, and activist.

However, her Hollywood life came with frightening challenges. Thomas revealed on the Still Here Hollywood podcast in March that she faced relentless stalking, sometimes “at least two” incidents per week, including break-ins, threats with bullets, and even stolen funeral wreaths. One particularly terrifying episode involved a stalker entering her bedroom, forcing her to defend herself.

The harassment intensified after she became a mother, as she worked to protect her two young daughters. Even after stepping away from acting in the early ’90s, it took years for the threats to ease. Thomas married entertainment lawyer Skip Brittenham in 1992, and the couple has three daughters. Today, she leads a quieter life, focusing on writing and advocacy.

Her status as an ’80s TV legend endures. In 2024, The Fall Guy was adapted into a feature film starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, and Thomas made a cameo, delighting fans with a nostalgic nod to the series that made her a household name.
