A first-time mom’s joy at finally bringing baby Grace home from the hospital quickly turned into devastation when she discovered what her mother-in-law had done behind her back.
While the new parents were still at the hospital, Patricia — entrusted with a spare house key to “prepare” for the baby’s arrival — took it upon herself to completely dismantle the nursery the couple had lovingly designed.
Gone were the soft sage-green walls, replaced with dark navy paint. The sunny yellow curtains had been swapped for heavy blackout drapes. The delicate handcrafted mobile had vanished.
