The movie Home Alone became so famous over the years that it spawned many funny myths. Now the film’s lead actor, Macaulay Culkin, who struggled with early fame, has decided to clear some of them up. He shared a story about something you probably never noticed in Home Alone.
The actor appeared on the show Hot Ones, where he was asked who performed the stunts in the movie and whether it was true that Kevin’s stunt double was actually a 30-year-old man.

Culkin confirmed this myth.
“I first saw him in the costume department. I changed and came out—and there was this guy, Larry, dressed exactly like me because we were trying on the same costume,” the actor recalled.
He remembered Larry greeting him and then asking if the kid knew how old he was.

“That was a tricky question,” Culkin laughs. “I knew he was much older than me. I was nine at the time, so I answered… 13?”
Macaulay recalled a scene where the stuntman had to climb on a shelf several times and fall with it. Young Culkin was worried and shouted, “Please, take care of Larry! He’s only 13!”
