When Sarah Abdalla from Los Angeles brought home a small white kitten named Feta, she had no idea just how much he would change. At first, Feta’s fur was nearly straight, but over the course of three years, the cat transformed into a curly little puffball — eventually becoming an internet sensation and stealing the hearts of millions.

“As a kitten, her fur was almost straight, but as she grew older, Feta turned into a true curly girl. People often ask if we gave her a perm — but no, it’s all natural,” says Sarah, the proud owner of this unique feline.

It turns out that Feta belongs to a rare breed called Lambkin — a cross between the short-legged Munchkin and the curly-coated Selkirk Rex. But the curls aren’t her only special trait: Feta also has heterochromia, with one blue eye and one green. She’s also deaf, which is common in white cats, especially those with blue eyes.

Sarah says Feta has an incredibly affectionate personality — she’s calm, gentle, and made for cuddles. Curly-haired cats like her are extremely rare. Their distinctive curls come from specific genetic mutations, and their coats change as they age — just like Feta’s did, turning her into a real-life plush toy.
