Kiran Baiga, a resident of the Indian village of Barijaria, witnessed a terrifying incident — during a family gathering, her eight-year-old son Raul was grabbed by a leopard.
Without hesitation, the woman chased after the predator, running a full kilometer before catching up to it. She then engaged in a fierce struggle.

The event occurred while Kiran was burning a fire with her children in front of their home. The leopard silently approached from behind, seized the boy, and ran off. The woman pursued it for an entire kilometer.

At one point, the predator stopped but did not release the boy. Kiran rushed up to the leopard and began punching it with such force that it dropped its prey. However, the animal did not give up and immediately attacked Kiran and her son as they tried to escape.
Kiran fought the leopard until neighbors arrived to help. Frightened by the noisy crowd, the animal fled, and Kiran lost consciousness.
Both she and her son were taken to the hospital with injuries, and their condition is currently described as stable.
