Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt is promoting his new movie “Formula 1” and recently appeared on the New Heights podcast hosted by brothers Jason and Travis Kelce. During the chat, Brad shared a surprising confession — he named two actresses who once took his breath away, and they weren’t his famous ex-wives, Jennifer Aniston or Angelina Jolie.
“When I first met Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon, I was so overwhelmed with excitement that it took me a while to recover,” Pitt admitted.
Brad starred alongside the two actresses in Ridley Scott’s 1991 classic Thelma & Louise. Sarandon and Davis played two best friends on the run, while Pitt portrayed a charming young drifter named J.D. who ends up robbing them. Both Davis and Sarandon were nominated for Oscars and Golden Globes for their performances.

The film also featured a steamy scene between Pitt’s character and Davis’s. Brad recalled being extremely nervous about filming it, but Geena helped him through it. “She was so sweet, kind, and gentle. That love scene took about two days to shoot. She really looked out for me,” he said.
Susan Sarandon, in turn, had kind words about Pitt as well. Although he was just starting out in Hollywood at the time, she recognized his potential. “He really impressed me with his sense of humor, on top of being good-looking and in great shape. I thought, ‘This guy’s interesting — he’s not just a pretty face,’” she said in a 2021 interview.

During the podcast, Pitt also revealed he’s a fan of Travis’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs. That prompted Swift’s 35-year-old boyfriend to jokingly apologize for their recent Super Bowl loss. “We got you this year, man. I let you down,” Kelce said with a smile.
Brad responded thoughtfully: “Adversity is what makes sports — and sports films — so special. That’s what life is, too. Sometimes everything’s calm and perfect and wonderful. Other times, life throws challenges your way, and it all depends on how you handle it and grow from it.”

Just last week, Pitt opened up about his struggle with alcoholism following his split from Angelina Jolie. He realized he needed to wake up and embrace sobriety. Brad joined Alcoholics Anonymous, describing the experience as both tough and transformative.
“It was a hard time. I needed a reset,” he said. “I was nervous at first, but I was moved by how open everyone was about their struggles. It gives you permission to say, ‘Okay, I’ll step to the edge and see what happens.’ And then I actually started to enjoy it.”
The two-time Oscar winner’s candidness offers a deeper look into his journey—both as an actor and a human being.
