The Olsen twins were born in Sherman Oaks, California, and it didn’t take long for the spotlight to find them. Their father, David Olsen, worked in finance, while their mother, Jarnette Fuller, was the driving force behind their early careers. From the start, their parents guided them into show business, setting the stage for a future few could have predicted.
Their rise to fame began before they could even talk. At just nine months old, they were cast in the hit sitcom Full House (1987), sharing the role of Michelle Tanner. What began as a clever casting choice quickly grew into a massive career. Over the years, Mary-Kate and Ashley became cultural icons—starring in numerous movies, TV specials, and making frequent public appearances.

In 2004, after their final film together, New York Minute, the sisters stepped away from acting. But rather than fading away, they shifted their creative energy. Known for their bold fashion sense—oversized shapes, dark tones, and layered accessories—they had long been style influencers.

This passion evolved into a successful business. After experimenting with smaller fashion ventures like T-shirts and fragrances, they launched their luxury brand, The Row. Named after London’s famed Savile Row, the label is celebrated for its minimalist designs, clean lines, and exceptional craftsmanship, quickly gaining acclaim in the fashion world.

Despite growing up under public scrutiny, the twins have fiercely protected their privacy. They keep family life under wraps and rarely attend public events.
On December 28, 2022, Ashley Olsen quietly married artist Louis Eisner in an intimate ceremony that reflected their low-key lifestyle. A few months later, they welcomed their son, Otto.

Mary-Kate’s journey took a different path. She married banker Olivier Sarkozy, half-brother of former French president Nicolas Sarkozy, in 2015. Their marriage ended in divorce in 2021.
Though no longer on screen, Mary-Kate and Ashley have quietly built a powerful presence in the fashion industry—on their own terms.
