It all seemed to be going well—at first. Australian musician Keith Urban joined the morning show Hayley & Max in the Morning to chat about his High and Alive world tour. He was in great spirits, fondly recalling performances in Adelaide and answering questions with enthusiasm… until the hosts invited him to play their signature segment: the Wall of Truth.
“Honestly, I always feel awkward asking our guests personal questions. But hey, those are the rules of the game,” host Hayley Peterson warned upfront. Co-host Max Burford quickly took the lead—and immediately ruined Urban’s mood.

“What do you feel when you see your beautiful wife in romantic scenes with handsome young men like Zac Efron on screen?” Burford asked.
There was no answer. A few seconds of awkward silence followed—then, the Zoom connection with Urban abruptly cut out. At first, everyone assumed it was a technical issue. But within moments, it became clear: Keith’s team had intentionally ended the call.

“He’s disconnected. I think his team hung up on us,” a voice off-camera, likely a show producer, said. “Well, that’s it. We upset him. He’s gone. I knew this would happen,” Hayley added. Burford tried to lighten the mood with a joke: “Do you think Keith Urban hates us now?”
Later, the show’s producers said they attempted to reach out to Urban’s PR team but hadn’t received a response. As of now, Urban has not commented on the incident.

Just over two weeks ago, Keith and Nicole celebrated their garnet wedding anniversary. To mark the occasion, Kidman posted a touching black-and-white photo taken backstage at one of Urban’s concerts. In the image, she’s seen hugging him lovingly, while he gently holds her hand. The caption read: “Happy anniversary, my love.” Urban replied with a single, heartfelt red heart emoji.
It’s easy to understand Keith’s reaction, especially considering how often his wife is discussed in connection with her provocative film roles. In a recent interview, Nicole Kidman admitted that shooting erotic scenes for Expats and other projects was physically exhausting.
Even so, Nicole has often emphasized that her personal life with Keith is refreshingly simple. In one interview, she joked that the secret to their happy marriage was taking showers together—and revealed they even have separate toilets.
