The trial of controversial rapper and media mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is still underway. Recently, the jury heard testimony from the rapper’s former girlfriend, who revealed why she agreed to have sex with strangers at Diddy’s now-infamous parties. And now, another controversial figure has entered the scene—Kanye West—who made a sensational statement in court.
According to international media outlets, Kanye showed up at the courthouse dressed entirely in white (a surprising choice for him, as he’s usually seen in all-black attire), flanked by two bodyguards. Reports say the rapper was inside for just about 40 minutes before emerging and telling reporters that he supports Combs. It’s worth noting that very few public figures have openly stood by Diddy. His support system mainly consists of his children—especially his twin daughters Jessie and D’Lila—as well as his mother, Janice Combs. There have also been claims that some of Diddy’s former business partners have expressed support on social media, though it’s unclear who exactly they are.
To recap, 55-year-old Diddy faces a series of serious charges, including conspiracy to commit racketeering, sex trafficking involving force, coercion, or fraud, and transporting individuals for prostitution. He’s also been hit with numerous accusations of sexual misconduct and abuse. Diddy was arrested in September of last year and has been in jail since, firmly denying all allegations brought against him.
