In Hollywood, the highest acting paychecks are once again dominated by men — nine of them made the top list. The only woman in the top ten? A stunning and seductive actress who somehow finds time to star in three TV series, promote perfume, and perform on stage. So who are the highest-paid actors in the world? Based on Forbes data, Lux has compiled a top 10 ranking. So, drumroll please — here they are:
Dwayne Johnson – $88 million
The muscular actor known as “The Rock” tops the list of the world’s highest-paid actors. Most of his income came from his role in the film Red One ($50 million paycheck), his involvement in Moana 2, as well as earnings from his ZOA Energy drink brand and his production company Seven Bucks Productions.
Ryan Reynolds – $85 million
The Deadpool franchise star earned big not only as an actor but also as a producer and screenwriter. Reynolds played a key role in rewriting dialogues and shaping scenes, especially Deadpool’s jokes, earning him creative bonuses. He also made smart investments in tech companies and brands, including selling the mobile carrier Mint Mobile in the U.S.
Kevin Hart – $81 million
Rounding out the top three is the lead of the hit film Lift. But most of Hart’s income came from a major stand-up comedy tour, his podcast platform, and a line of energy drinks.
Jerry Seinfeld – $60 million
Seinfeld continues to earn steady royalties from his iconic TV show Seinfeld, along with revenue from new stand-up tours, Netflix deals, and comedy content sales. At 71, he remains active and beloved by fans.
Hugh Jackman – $50 million
Jackman’s return as Wolverine in the hit Deadpool & Wolverine not only earned him a huge paycheck but also a share of the movie’s profits, which grossed over $1.3 billion. That success pushed him into the top 10.
Brad Pitt – $32 million
Pitt starred in the film F1 and continued building his production company, which has been securing deals for streaming projects. He may not have won the race in F1, but he definitely scored big at the bank.
George Clooney – $31 million
Although George Clooney announced his retirement from acting in 2017, he hasn’t left cinema behind. Both in front of and behind the camera, he made a fortune directing the spy comedy The Lonely Wolves and landing lucrative ad contracts.
Nicole Kidman – $31 million
The only woman among the top ten, Nicole Kidman earned the title of highest-paid actress of 2024. Her income came from starring in the series Lioness, Expats, and The Perfect Couple, as well as long-term brand partnerships.
Adam Sandler – $26 million
Thanks to a content deal with Netflix, Sandler has remained a steady commercial success for over a decade. In 2024, Happy Gilmore 2 brought him a sizable paycheck.
Will Smith – $26 million
Rounding out the top ten is actor Will Smith. Despite past controversies, Smith made a strong comeback with the blockbuster Bad Boys: Ride or Die, which grossed over $400 million worldwide.
Even with the growing influence of streaming services, declining traditional box office revenues, and the aftermath of the 2023 strikes, 2024 has proven that Hollywood stars still remain powerful economic forces.
