Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas Overflow with Joy and Pride at Their Daughter’s University Graduation

On the eve of such an important event in their daughter’s life, Catherine Zeta-Jones couldn’t resist sharing something on her personal blog. The actress posted a black-and-white photo hugging her daughter, Caris, with the caption: “The night before graduation! We are both such proud parents right now! It’s only just begun!”

The next morning, the whole family arrived on campus to support Caris as she received her diploma. The 55-year-old mom had thoughtfully planned every detail—from intimate stories showing her daughter’s graduation outfit to heartfelt moments where the parents kissed Caris on both cheeks.

The celebration table was not overlooked either—it featured a cake decorated with carrots and the message “Congratulations Class of 2025,” with a teddy bear at the center. The bear is a symbol close to Caris and the family circle.

Caris’s career is just beginning. She already has several credits in short films, including a role as second assistant director on the set of August. She also tried acting in the short film To Hell with That Guy alongside Victoria Pedretti. Like her 24-year-old brother, who hosts the show Young American, Caris is continuing the family legacy.

Her paternal grandfather, Kirk Douglas, was a legend of old Hollywood, and her grandmother, Diana Dill, was an actress with Bermudian roots. Interestingly, the siblings spent their childhood years at the family estate in Bermuda, living on a secluded property in Warwick Parish.

Michael Douglas proposed to Zeta-Jones at his Aspen home on New Year’s Eve in 1999, gifting her a diamond ring worth $1 million. They married in New York City in 2000.
