The trial against the music mogul began on Monday, with 38-year-old Cassie Ventura taking the stand for several consecutive days. Her relationship with rapper P. Diddy lasted from 2007 to 2018. Jurors were also presented with messages exchanged between the two. In one of them, Cassie expressed her desire to play a more meaningful role in P. Diddy’s life, including in his relationships with his children from previous partners.
Despite this, Ventura felt that her primary role in his life was to be part of the rapper’s “kinks.” “It’s heartbreaking,” Ventura said in court. She referenced other celebrity couples who had separated but maintained a warm relationship.
“You may think you’re Bruce Willis, but you’re not. He’s married, but even before that, his family would travel with him and his woman,” Cassie wrote in a text to the rapper back in 2013.
