A Budget Move Sparks a Stylish Makeover of a 34m² One-Bedroom Apartment
Relocating to a new city motivated this couple to purchase their own apartment. Working with a tight budget, they opted for a compact 34-square-metre one-room flat. The outdated interior didn’t suit their style, so they enlisted the help of professional designers to completely reimagine the space into a modern, cozy home.
Entryway
The entrance hall was refreshed with leveled walls coated in light, moisture-resistant paint. Porcelain tiles with a marble look were laid on the floor. Decorative wooden panels with coat hooks were mounted near the door, accompanied by a sleek wall-mounted console, mirror, and a turquoise pouffe. A spacious built-in cabinet with turquoise doors now separates the hallway from the kitchen and living area.
Kitchen
The kitchen floor was also finished with durable porcelain tile. A fridge sits near the entrance, followed by a charming dining nook with a round table and a comfortable built-in sofa. Behind the sofa, an accent wall features a mural and textured panels for added visual interest.
On the opposite side is a corner kitchen unit in a stylish blend of green and wood tones, while the backsplash is finished with blue-green tiles for a pop of color.
Living Room
The living space greets you with calming blue walls and laminate flooring. To the left of the entrance is a media unit with ample storage and a mounted TV. Facing it is a large gray sofa. A slatted partition subtly separates the living area from the bedroom.
Bedroom Nook
Tucked behind the partition is a cozy sleeping area furnished with a double bed, bedside table, TV, and a compact vanity. The mural and 3D panels continue behind the bed, adding continuity and depth to the design. The balcony has been smartly outfitted with a bar counter, perfect for relaxing or enjoying a morning coffee.
Bathroom & Toilet
The bathroom and toilet feature a timeless combination of black and white rectangular tiles, complemented by geometric patterned tiles for a touch of style. The washing machine is thoughtfully positioned across from the sink for convenience.
