A devastating collision in Manitoba, Canada, resulted in the loss of at least 15 lives on Thursday. The tragedy unfolded when a bus carrying elderly passengers struck a truck at an intersection near Carberry, approximately 170 kilometers west of Winnipeg.
The bus was reportedly headed to a casino when the fatal crash occurred. Deputy Commissioner Rob Hill of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police confirmed the death toll and noted that ten additional passengers were hospitalized with injuries.

Remarkably, both drivers survived the collision. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash. Harrowing images from the scene reveal wreckage scattered across the area, including destroyed wheelchair seats and walkers lying among tarpaulins covering the victims.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Manitoba Premier Heather Stefanson expressed profound sorrow, offering condolences to the victims, their families, and those wounded by the heartbreaking incident.
