The Hollywood star with Australian roots has been married to a fellow countryman, country singer Keith Urban, since 2006. Nicole and Keith are raising two daughters — 16-year-old Sunday and 14-year-old Faith. In September of last year, the actress lost her mother, Janelle, with whom she was very close. Kidman had promised to finish her current projects and not work during 2025.
In March, at the premiere of her new film Holland, Nicole announced that she was involved in a thriller and a sequel to the series Nine Perfect Strangers, after which she would take time off until the end of the year to focus on herself and her family. However, she was recently spotted on the set of a new movie titled Margot Has Money Troubles.
The 57-year-old musician is upset that his wife broke her promise. “It’s unbelievable. Not even a month has passed, and Nicole is already back on set. Keith isn’t angry, but he’s worried — and understandably very upset. He knows how much Nicole loves her work, but she constantly shifts her priorities. Instead of putting herself first — which is what she and the kids need — she always puts work first,” an insider said.
Urban is concerned that Kidman is overworking herself to the point where she has no energy or time left for loved ones. Moreover, the Oscar-winning actress still hasn’t fully recovered from the loss of her mother. “Nicole is still reeling from the shock of Janelle’s death, and Keith is on tour, so he isn’t there to make sure she’s at least eating and sleeping properly,” the source added.
The Cold Mountain star is torn between additional acting roles, fashion campaigns, charity events, and always being ready to help her friends. The singer believes his wife is living for her work and using it as an emotional escape. However, he worries how long she’ll be able to maintain such a pace — and at what cost.
Due to her packed schedule, the actress was unable to reunite with her husband and daughters for Easter. She spent the holiday with her sister Antonia Kidman and niece Lucia Hawley at the family estate she shares with Keith in Nashville, Tennessee. The main house has 20 rooms, including 7 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, plus a home theater, library, and gym. The estate also features a garden, tennis court, and pool.
In addition to this property, Kidman and Urban own a five-bedroom home in Beverly Hills worth $6.77 million and a designer duplex in New York City valued at $13.53 million. The couple also has real estate in Australia, including a $6.5 million farmhouse and two penthouses in Sydney’s Milsons Point district, which they rent out.
