In an incredible moment that’s amazed both parents and professionals, a Pennsylvania mom caught her newborn daughter doing something few would believe—crawling and lifting her head just three days after birth.
Samantha Mitchell, 34, was stunned when her daughter, Nyilah Daise Tzabari, started moving in ways typically seen in babies several months older. “I’ve worked with kids for over 20 years and never seen anything like it,” Mitchell told Kennedy News. Thankfully, her mom urged her to record it—and the jaw-dropping footage went viral soon after.
Born at 43 weeks and weighing 7 lbs 6 oz, Nyilah wasted no time showing her strength. In the video filmed on March 2, 2023, the newborn is seen supporting herself on her arms, lifting her head, and crawling forward—milestones that usually appear at six to nine months, according to Healthline.
“This wasn’t a one-time thing,” said Mitchell. “She’s been strong since day one.”
The baby’s development hasn’t slowed down. By just 18 days old, Nyilah was rolling over. At two months, she rolled back the other way, and by three months, she was standing with support. “We’re not pushing her to stand, but she won’t bend her knees!” Mitchell laughed.
It’s not just her motor skills—Nyilah is already showing signs of advanced communication. By six weeks, she was mimicking sounds like “I love you” and now babbles to imitate laughter and speech.
The video, posted on TikTok, has racked up over 6.6 million likes, with viewers cracking jokes like, “She’ll have a job by next week!” and “This baby’s been here before!”
First-time dad Ofer Tzabari admitted he thought all newborns behaved like this—until the internet set him straight. Now both parents are simply enjoying the ride. “She’s a happy, smiling baby,” Mitchell said. “Every day, she amazes us. We can’t wait to see what she’ll do next.”
