An emotional moment unfolded at a wedding in Liaoning, China, when a bride was brought to tears by the unexpected appearance of a butterfly—one she believes was a sign from her late father.
The touching scene took place in October, when the butterfly first landed gently on the bride’s bouquet. As she noticed it, realization dawned, and her eyes filled with tears. Moments later, the butterfly moved to her shoulder, overwhelming her with emotion. Unable to hold back, she trembled and sobbed, struggling to find words.
Her groom, moved by her reaction, also began to cry.
According to TVBS, the bride then called out through her tears, “Your daughter knows it’s you. You kept your promise—and now I’ve found someone who loves me just as much.”
The bride shared online that her father had passed away three years earlier, and the appearance of a butterfly—especially during freezing weather on the second floor of a building—was both shocking and deeply meaningful.
“I still can’t believe it,” she said. “My dad came—he really came.”
This isn’t the first emotional butterfly moment at a wedding in China. Earlier this year, a groom broke down after a butterfly landed on him just after he’d asked his late grandmother to show up as a sign during his wedding speech.
