Winnie is fighting for her life tonight, and we ask for your prayers. This sweet little dog’s condition took a drastic turn for the worse today, leaving us heartbroken and terrified. Her heartworms have reached a critical stage, making recovery incredibly difficult. This morning, her abdomen was swollen with fluid, and she was struggling to breathe.
After consulting with Dr. Lisa, we felt the best chance for her survival was to rush her to Mississippi State for emergency care, where she is now.
I can’t stop the tears tonight as I pray for the wisdom of her doctors, hoping they know exactly how to help Winnie pull through. We desperately need a miracle. Our hearts are shattered.
Annie was set to be euthanized at the Downey Animal Shelter after her previous owners left her in poor condition. Thankfully, Chews Life Dog Rescue in California stepped in, offering her a second chance. After nearly two years with the rescue, she was adopted by a family in Marina Del Rey. Now, this happy pup is living her best life, enjoying beach walks and playing fetch.
