This year, it seems like their numbers are on the rise, as I’m seeing more of them in the garden than ever before. If you’re noticing earwigs hanging around your house or outdoor spaces, this simple yet effective trick might just help.
Facebook user Alicia Alexander shared her success in getting rid of earwigs in her backyard by filling a shallow bowl with half a cup of olive oil.
She then placed the bowl outside in her garden or on her deck. Within 24 hours, this is how many earwigs she found in the bowl:
