Soon, Lauren Sanchez (Jeff Bezos’ fiancée), singer Katy Perry, TV host Gayle King, former NASA rocket expert Ayesha Bow, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, and film producer Kerianne Flynn will embark on a historic journey into outer space aboard Blue Origin. To mark this monumental event, these trailblazers graced the cover of the latest Elle magazine and shared a joint interview, revealing exciting details about their upcoming cosmic expedition.
And the celebrities are determined to travel into the unknown in their most glamorous outfits, which they plan to wear under their space suits.
“Who wouldn’t want to look glamorous before a flight?!” joked Sanchez, who is set to marry Bezos soon.
“The cosmos is finally going to get glamorous,” agreed Katy Perry.
Lauren added that they all agreed to get eyelash extensions before the flight.
“We’ll have lash extensions that will fly in the capsule!” continued the TV star, keeping the mood lighthearted.
When Gayle King was asked how such lashes could possibly withstand zero gravity, she humorously replied, “Mine are glued. And they hold up perfectly.”
This mission will mark the first all-female astronaut crew since Valentina Tereshkova’s solo flight in 1963.
