Victoria Beckham found herself in a very difficult situation. Just recently, she confided in one of her friends that although her relationship with her husband David was good at the moment, another scandal might be too much for their marriage to withstand. And now the scandal she feared has erupted. Rebecca Loos, David’s former mistress, publicly confirmed her previous claims of an affair with the retired footballer in an interview on the Australian TV show 60 Minutes Australia.
Rebecca, who had worked as Beckham’s personal assistant, first revealed in 2004 that David had cheated on Victoria with her. She described how and when David seduced her, stating that their affair lasted a full four months. At the time, the married Beckham, who had two children, caused a huge scandal. He had been doing his best to appear as though he and his wife were the perfect couple.
Victoria was so shaken by her husband’s infidelity that she was ready to leave him. But he managed to convince her and almost the entire world that he was innocent, and that Rebecca had simply slandered him. David, according to Rebecca, used his PR machine to back him up, spreading stories everywhere about how much he loved Victoria and how happy he was with her, while calling all of Loos’s accusations laughable and absurd.
Now, 49-year-old Rebecca has sworn that everything she said was true — from the first word to the last. She also added that although last time David managed to turn the press against her, causing her serious psychological trauma, she is no longer afraid of him. She will defend the truth of her words to the very end.
