Chinese scientists have developed a groundbreaking cancer treatment that makes tumors mimic pig tissue. This “camouflage” tricks the immune system into attacking the tumor, much like an organ transplant rejection response.
The method involves using a genetically modified virus to alter cancer cells, making them resemble pig tissue. This triggers a strong immune reaction targeted specifically at the tumor, leaving healthy cells unharmed.
Early clinical trials have shown remarkable results: 90% of patients with advanced, treatment-resistant cancers experienced tumor growth halting or shrinking. In one case, a cervical cancer patient was declared clinically cured.
