“Angelina Jolie Grants Wounded Girl from Izium Her Heartfelt Wish with a Touching Note”
Angelina Jolie, one of the most prominent stars supporting Ukraine, recently fulfilled the dream of 14-year-old Polina from Izium, who was injured in Russian shelling. The “Maria” star reached out to the wounded girl and sent her a poignant message.
The touching story was shared on the UNITED24 initiative’s Instagram page. According to the post, Polina, 14, sustained severe injuries during a Russian attack on Izium in the Kharkiv region and is now receiving treatment at the capital’s Okhmatdyt hospital.
While working with psychologists, Polina shared her wish: to meet Angelina Jolie.
Her greatest desire is to walk again. While Ukrainian doctors are working towards that, we did everything we could to help her fulfill her second dream: meeting Angelina Jolie, the message read.
The Hollywood actress and the injured girl from Izium had an online conversation. Furthermore, Polina received a special note from Angelina, which read:
“Dear Polina, I am thinking of you and sending you my love. Stay strong!”
In the comments, Ukrainians and compassionate people from all over the world thanked Jolie for making Polina’s dream come true and wished the girl a speedy recovery.
