Many people use body modifications like tattoos to express their individuality, but others are strongly opposed to them. Kerstin Tristan was once part of the latter group—until 2015, when a single event completely changed her perspective.
At 56, Kerstin is a mother and grandmother, but her interests go beyond what you might expect from someone in her role. She has a deep passion for body art, particularly tattoos, and has since covered her entire body in ink.
Achieving this level of commitment has cost her a considerable amount, but it wasn’t always this way. She admitted that before 2015, she actually disliked tattoos. That all changed when she got her first one that year, a decision that completely transformed her view on body art.
“I just wanted to try something new. We only live once, and I thought that at my age, it was time to do something real,” she shared.
Since then, Kerstin has spent about 30,000 euros (roughly $32,000 USD) on tattoos alone. The decision has paid off, as she now enjoys significant attention and admiration. Her Instagram boasts over 190,000 followers, and her TikTok videos have gone viral.
Kerstin is not shy about flaunting her tattooed look, regularly posting photos that showcase her entire body. But just a decade ago, she was tattoo-free and looked very different. She often shares comparison photos to highlight the dramatic transformation.
Based in Germany, the influencer’s tattoos include vibrant roses on her legs, a leopard print design on her shoulders, and several detailed portraits on her arms, among many others.
She is proud of her appearance, stating, “When I look in the mirror, I see a beautiful meadow full of flowers that everyone should love.”
Her followers also appreciate her transformation. One fan commented, “A beautiful work of art,” while another wrote, “Wow, stunning photo.”
