Hollywood stars Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck celebrated their son Samuel’s 13th birthday together. The boy chose an active outdoor activity, and the family spent the day at Combat Paintball Park in Castaic, near Los Angeles, along with his friends. They were also joined by their 16-year-old daughter, Seraphina, while their 19-year-old daughter Violet, who is studying at Yale University, was absent.
Garner wore a gray hoodie and loose blue jeans, keeping her look casual with light daytime makeup and sunglasses. She tied her hair in a simple ponytail and wore small gold earrings. Affleck, on the other hand, wore a white t-shirt, a dark green shirt, a khaki jacket, and faded gray jeans, completing his look with white and brown Jordans. The former couple smiled and chatted animatedly as they made their way to the paintball field, carrying their equipment, including weapons, paint cans, and protective face masks. Fans of Affleck noticed how happy and relaxed he looked with his ex-wife, in contrast to his usual serious demeanor when with Jennifer Lopez.
Garner and Affleck separated in 2015 after 10 years of marriage, finalizing their divorce in 2018. Despite the split, they remained close friends for the sake of co-parenting their three children. On the same day, Ben was spotted near Jennifer’s home, driving her to the family event.
This week, the two-time Oscar winner will be presenting his new film, The Accountant 2, at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. The movie will be released in theaters in April. Affleck reprises his role as Christian Wolff, an autistic accountant and hitman, who investigates the murder of the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury. The first Accountant movie, released in 2016, became a global hit, grossing over $155 million worldwide.
Affleck shared that during the filming of the sequel, he felt even more prepared, having developed a deep connection with the character. “I realize that you have to earn another film. The biggest mistake is putting off good ideas. If you don’t create demand the first time, you’re just spinning your wheels.”
Meanwhile, Garner is working on the second season of the popular detective series The Last Thing He Told Me, which began filming in November last year. “I’m thrilled to share more about Hannah’s story – I couldn’t have said yes to a second season faster!” the actress shared.
