If you have an old refrigerator at home that’s served its time and is about to be tossed out, don’t rush to get rid of it. Before you throw it away or sell it for a low price, consider repurposing it into something useful for your garden. Here’s an idea I came up with – perhaps you’ll want to try it too!
Step One – Remove all unnecessary components: Take out the shelves and internal parts, leaving just the body and doors. Next, remove the freezer compartment and create a hole for the pipe to allow proper air circulation.
It’s better to leave the doors intact. Instead, create holes in them and insert glass, securing it in place. For added insulation, you can apply a layer of foam, pressing it firmly onto the surface after heating.
Finally, cover all holes with metal mesh. This will allow air to circulate freely while protecting your creation from insects.
