After 11 years of marriage, Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin divorced in 2014, with the mansion they had renovated together going to Paltrow and their children. As their kids, Apple and Moses, grew up and moved out, Paltrow was left feeling the heartache of an empty nest. Struggling with the emotional weight of it, she made the decision to sell their 1950s one-story mansion.
Wanting a fresh start, Paltrow listed the 11-bedroom estate for $30 million. However, after finding no buyers at that price, she lowered the asking price by nearly a third and eventually sold it for $22 million. The proceeds will likely go towards her new home in Montecito, where she’s currently building a life with her husband, Brad Falchuk.
Despite their divorce, Paltrow and Martin have maintained a strong friendship and recently spent time with their children in Paris.
