It is known that the actress lives as a recluse and leaves her apartment only for social events.
The actress has neither children nor a husband.
During her interviews, Mercier readily recalls the names of famous lovers who never became someone more for the beautiful woman.

The actress complains about lack of money. According to Mercier, she barely makes ends meet and survives on a tiny pension.
“They gave me a medal for merit, but why do I need it?” the beautiful actress is genuinely perplexed.
Mercier has been struggling with a serious illness for many years. Treatment is not cheap, but the actress does not have such means.
Mercier admitted to journalists that she always dreamed of becoming a mother.
“I didn’t see anything good from my lovers. One day I decided: it’s better to be alone than with someone unknown,” recalls Mercier.
