With the help of a six-figure individual, Eva Longoria is able to make the seven-figure donation she is making to help individuals who have been displaced due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.
The actress’s donation to help wildfire victims comes from the Bezos Courage and Civility Award she recently received. A million dollars has been donated by the actress and her foundation to help victims of natural disasters.
Eva received the prize in March, and since she has ten years to spend the funds for charitable reasons, she is already making excellent use of them.
Eva’s donation will go to the California Community Foundation and the Latino Community Foundation, both of which are led by Julian Castro. The funds will be utilized to provide both immediate and long-term assistance to those who have lost everything in the Los Angeles fires.
In and around Los Angeles, the Palisades and Eaton fires have damaged more than 12,000 homes and forced thousands of people to relocate. The people are in dire need of any help they can get at this time.
Other celebrities who have helped with relief efforts include Jason Oppenheim, Paris Hilton, Beyoncé, and Anthony Davis. Other celebrities also contribute.
