Timothée Chalamet, known for his love of standing out on the red carpet, certainly made an impression – but it came with a fine. The 29-year-old actor first grabbed attention by riding his green-and-white Lime bicycle to the London premiere of his film Full Unknown.

During a French talk show Quotidien, Timothée explained that he wasn’t trying to show off; instead, he chose the bike to avoid a traffic jam that might have caused him to miss the premiere – not to land in headlines or viral videos.

However, things didn’t go as planned. Chalamet admitted he was fined £65 (about $79) for improperly parking his bike.

Timothée wasn’t happy about the situation, joking, “It’s really bad because I actually promoted them!” referring to the Lime company, which rents out electric bikes at discounted rates.
