Dayle Haddon died of carbon monoxide poisoning after a gas leak occurred in her daughter Ryan’s Bucks County, Pennsylvania, home on December 27, CBS News reported.
Dayle Haddon was born and raised in Montreal. She peaked as a model in the 1970s and 1980s. Harper’s Bazaar magazine twice included her in its list of the ten most beautiful women in the world.
In 1991, Dayle Haddon’s husband died. The model and her daughter were left with almost no means of support, and even had to rent out their house. Due to her age, Dayle Haddon was unable to find work in the modeling industry for a long time, but after some time she became a representative of Clairol (the American division of Wella).
The model began to promote the idea that the beauty industry should bet more on women of her generation. Eventually, Estee Lauder chose her as the face of its new anti-aging cosmetics line, then L’Oreal signed her.
