This was exactly the case when 14-year-old Jacob Norton from Colchester, Essex, auditioned for The Voice: UK and left all the judges in utter disbelief.
Jacobās powerful singing voice stunned the panel, especially given his young age. For his audition, Jacob chose to perform Fred Astaireās classic hit, āPuttinā On the Ritz,ā a song perfectly suited to his surprisingly deep voice, which made him sound much older than his years.
As the rich, deep tones of Jacobās voice filled the room, judges Danny Jones, Will.i.am, and Pixie Lott were initially convinced it was some sort of prank. All three judges turned their chairs almost immediately, eager to see who was behind such a remarkable voice. The audience, equally amazed, erupted in applause, rising to their feet to cheer him on.
Jacob, while thrilled by the response, remained calm and continued his performance flawlessly. As the song picked up speed, he engaged with the audience, showcasing his growing confidence. His performance clearly left a strong impression, both on the judges and the crowd.

When I got three, I was in shock because I thought I wouldnāt get any!ā
