The Windsors are already in full swing preparing for the upcoming Christmas at Sandringham.
Christmas is coming up in the UK, and many are already busy with their pre-holiday activities. Kate Middleton recently hosted the charity concert Together at Christmas, and Charles III visited the annual craft fair: painting, jewellery and embroidery created by teachers and students of the Royal Foundation’s educational programs.
At the event, the king spoke about the importance of preserving traditional techniques. He said: “Trying to preserve timeless skills that will always be needed, no matter what time we are in, is very important. Unfortunately, crafts are disappearing faster and faster, but we must try to save what is left.”
The gala day was held in the grounds of Highgrove House in Gloucestershire. As well as checking out the fair’s display cases, the monarch also helped decorate a tree in the residence’s lush garden. He also stopped to chat with members of a local rock choir who were preparing for a festive performance.

Charles has owned Highgrove since 1980, and it has special significance for him. He first lived there as the Prince of Wales with Princess Diana and their then-young children Princes William and Harry.
“In good times and bad, as Prince of Wales and now as king, Charles likes to retreat to his ‘sanctuary’ – a tiny chapel in the grounds of Highgrove – to collect his thoughts,” royal biographer Robert Hardman told an interviewer.
Highgrove is a historic residence dating back to the 18th century. The estate is surrounded by more than 360 hectares of land, including a farm that the monarch built when he first renovated the house. The nine-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion is famous for its extraordinary decor and stunning gardens, which the king worked on when he was still Prince of Wales.

It is noteworthy that these incredible landscapes can be seen by anyone. Every year the gardens are opened to visitors, so anyone can come and admire their magical landscapes.
