Stacey Harold, born with a rare condition called osteogenesis imperfecta, faced numerous challenges throughout her life.
Her height was just 71 centimeters, and for most of her life, she was confined to a wheelchair.
In 2000, fate brought Stacey together with Will Gerald, who became her husband. They met at a small supermarket in the town of Dry Ridge, where they both worked.
Will, who was a meter taller than his chosen one and nine years younger, saw in Stacey not only her appearance but also her immense inner strength. Four years later, they got married.
From the very beginning, doctors predicted that their family would not be complete. They insisted that Stacey was unable to carry a child. These words caused her great pain.
When the couple decided to try for a pregnancy, many, including Stacey’s mother, warned her against it, believing it was too dangerous for her life. But Stacey and Will did not back down.
Their first daughter, Katherine, was born in 2006 at 28 weeks of pregnancy by cesarean section. The girl inherited her mother’s condition.
In 2008, their second daughter, Makayla, was born. This time, the pregnancy was more complicated: the baby developed quickly, and Stacey joked that she looked like a large ball. Fortunately, Makayla was born completely healthy.
In 2009, the family grew with the arrival of their son Malachi. Like his older sister, he inherited Stacey’s condition.
Stacey set a unique record by entering the Guinness Book of Records as the smallest woman to give birth to three children.
Unfortunately, in 2022, Stacey Harold passed away at the age of 44.
