Prince William, along with his wife and children, attended the Christmas service at Westminster Abbey. After battling cancer, Kate Middleton has once again started accompanying him to public events. The Princess of Wales carefully plans her public appearances down to the smallest detail.
At the church, she showcased an elegant look. She wore a crimson Alexander McQueen coat with statement buttons and black suede Ralph Lauren ankle boots with a heel. A black velvet bow was attached to the neckline, adding a festive touch to the entire outfit. It turned out that this accessory was actually a hair tie. Middleton bought it from her favorite store, Jigsaw, for £20.
It was noted that such accessories were once considered girlish, but now bows have become synonymous with “grown-up style” and are growing in popularity. The Princess of Wales also embraced the main color of Catholic Christmas—red, which worked in her favor. Her coat was in this vibrant shade, which matched the color of her sons George and Louis’ ties.
This isn’t the first time Kate has used an accessory to transform her look. Earlier this year, she added a large bow with black-and-white stripes to a dress by Jenny Packham. A similar accessory has also been worn with a Catherine Walker jacket several times, pinned to the collar.
The Duchess of Cambridge frequently wears outfits she has worn before. She even had her crimson coat altered, as it was previously sleeveless. During the winter, the wife of Prince William often prefers this particular piece of clothing. Recently, she wore a tailored wine-colored coat and matching hat at the official ceremony welcoming the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and his wife.
Now that Middleton has completed her chemotherapy, she is gradually returning to her usual duties. The Princess of Wales recently shared a touching message after overcoming cancer, stating that love helped her along the way.
