Pamela Anderson’s Initial Reaction to Her Golden Globe Nomination😯

57-year-old Pamela Anderson emotionally reacted to receiving her first Golden Globe nomination for her role in Gia Coppola’s drama, written by Kate Gersten. The Baywatch star, who earned rave reviews for portraying a Las Vegas dancer in the film, was nominated in the category of “Best Actress in a Drama Film.”

“I share this wonderful nomination with everyone who worked on this film, and I dedicate it to my family and my hardworking companions on this exciting journey. It’s never too late to dream, start anew, and remain open to opportunities,” Pamela shared.

Anderson became one of the stars over 50 nominated for the award, including 62-year-old Demi Moore, nominated for her role in Substance, 57-year-old Nicole Kidman, nominated for Baby, and 72-year-old Isabella Rossellini, nominated for the musical Conclave.

In The Last Dance, Anderson plays Shelly, a glamorous older dancer who must rebuild her life after her show is abruptly shut down after 30 years. The film premiered on September 6, featuring Jamie Lee Curtis, Kiernan Shipka, Brenda Song, and Jason Schwartzman. It will have a limited release in Los Angeles on December 13, as part of the Oscar selection screenings, with the global premiere set for January 10, 2025.

Anderson last appeared on screen in Baywatch in 2017, reprising her iconic role as C.J. Parker. Some critics believe that her performance as the dancer Shelly may lead to an Oscar nomination. At the premiere of The Last Dance at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, the actress said, “I’ve been preparing for this role my whole life.”

“A beautiful but complicated life is something incredible to draw inspiration from, and sometimes I look back on my life and think: I could have done things differently, but it takes life experience to look back and realize that,” she said. “I love acting, I took many private lessons, and I finally felt that this was my chance to apply my skills in practice.”
