On November 8th, 1935, a boy was born who would later be considered one of the most handsome men of his era. Alain was born in a suburb of Paris, around 80 kilometers from Notre Dame Cathedral. His mother worked as a pharmacist.
When his father opened a movie theater, his mother took a job as a cashier there. However, when Alain was just three years old, his parents separated. Both remarried, and Alain gained half-siblings. His stepfather worked at a butcher shop, where Alain’s mother also joined him, leaving them with little time for their son. They hired a nanny to care for Alain.
Growing up between two families, Alain initially enjoyed the setup, but as time passed, he felt neglected. He wasn’t a strong student and often got into trouble, resulting in multiple expulsions from school and frequent changes of institutions. Despite this, Alain had a love for music, especially the piano, and even won awards for his performances. However, his passion for music eventually waned.
He then began training to become a butcher and worked for three months in a butcher shop before moving to a store job. His next step was joining the Army, an experience that, according to the actor, had a positive effect on his character. After his service, he worked as a waiter.
