English actress and model Keira Knightley, who recently spoke about the psychological trauma she experienced while filming Pirates of the Caribbean, has blamed Peppa Pig for making her no longer want to have more children. The actress, who already has two daughters, doesn’t wish to have another child.
The British animated children’s series Peppa Pig is beloved by millions of children around the world. Parents have mixed opinions about the show—some find it too simplistic and annoying, but the kids love it, and that’s a fact. According to Keira, it was Peppa Pig that made her lose the desire to expand her family.

During an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s show, the actress shared that her 9-year-old daughter Delilah and 5-year-old daughter Eddie are now into films from the Japanese animation studio Studio Ghibli, founded by director Hayao Miyazaki. Knightley noted that this was a refreshing change after her girls’ love for the global phenomenon, Peppa Pig.
“They like other beautiful things now, and you think, ‘Oh, this is wonderful, after seven years of Peppa Pig.’ You know?” she explained.
Keira jokingly added that the preschool pig cartoon had prevented her from wanting another child: “You know how it is when you want to be a mom, and you say, ‘Oh, they’re so cute, maybe we should have another one?’ And then you think, ‘Oh, yeah, I could carry a pregnancy. I could even give birth. But I can’t watch Peppa Pig anymore. That’s not happening.'”
As a reminder, Keira Knightley married British musician James Righton in 2013, after dating him for a couple of years. The couple frequently attends various events together, showcasing their happy relationship.
