The King of the United Kingdom has always been strict about his health. Long before his illness, he preferred simple, seasonal, and organic food instead of heavy meat dishes with rich sauces. However, in recent months, his eating habits have undergone significant changes: the monarch decisively gave up red meat and added avocado to his menu. Experts have called this “the greatest sacrifice of the king.”
These changes were revealed by Tom Parker Bowles, the son of Queen Camilla. “I’m not a nutritionist, but I know that food is part of the body’s ‘medicine.’ Charles III knows when he’s getting what he needs,” he emphasized.

The decision was also commented on by Jenny Bond, a former BBC royal correspondent. “The king has always paid attention to his diet—he practically never had lunch and consciously avoided meat and fish two days a week for many years,” she said.
Bond also noted that in recent years, the king has reduced his consumption of dairy products, partly for environmental reasons, but now it’s linked to medical recommendations. “He will probably miss organic roasted lamb, but he is absolutely focused on recovery and will do everything the doctors tell him,” she added.

Interestingly, Charles’s eating habits have long been a subject of discussion. “For breakfast, he always has freshly baked bread, a bowl of fruit, and freshly squeezed juices. Wherever Charles III is, his ‘breakfast box’ is always with him. It contains six types of honey, special muesli, dried fruits, and other items he pays special attention to,” shared royal chef Graham Newbold.
There are many rumors surrounding the king’s treatment, but one thing is clear: Charles III is making full use of available resources to fight the illness. His wife Camilla is also going through difficult times; the queen is undergoing treatment after a respiratory infection. Prior to this, the wife of the British king publicly supported her stepdaughter, Kate Middleton, who was battling cancer.
