The actress spoke about the holiday traditions she keeps with her family. She loves decorating the house with ornaments and garlands and taking family photos with her children on Thanksgiving. However, her daughter Ava Elizabeth and son Deacon Reese, from her first marriage to actor Ryan Phillippe, refuse to take photos now that they are older.
Reese admitted that her older children upset her. However, her 12-year-old son Tennessee James is still willing to dress up for photos and make her happy. The actress herself comes up with different ways to make the holidays more special.
The Oscar winner shared an unsuccessful experience she had at Christmas. She wanted to make a traditional gingerbread house. To make things easier for herself, she bought a ready-made kit instead of baking the treat from scratch.
“I once tried to bake my own house, and it was an epic disaster. My engineering skills were not up to par. It just collapsed,” she said.
In 2023, Witherspoon divorced the father of her youngest son, Jim Toth. After that, she started going on dates. She was spotted with a financier who is 8 years older than her.
