For 36 years, their bond remained as strong as ever, but one detail changed: a 38-year-old electrician named Ben Byrne entered their lives, and the sisters began dating him.
However, their relationship with him was unusual. It wasn’t just a romance with one man, but a unique partnership in which both sisters shared their love and affection for Ben.
Their story began 11 years ago when Anna and Lucy met Ben on Facebook. He turned out to be a twin, just like them, and initially, he communicated with each of them separately.
After six months of communication, the sisters fell in love with him and decided to be with him together. There were no issues with jealousy or divided attention because, for the sisters, it was important to always be together.
In their native Australia, their love couldn’t be legally recognized due to a law prohibiting polygamy. However, the sisters were determined. They traveled abroad, where they were able to officially register their marriage.
