The Barbie star previously starred in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street, where the director was open to adjusting a scene to ensure that Margot, who was 22 at the time, felt comfortable.
Martin suggested that Margot wear a robe for the scene, but she declined. “I said, ‘This is not what my character should be doing in this scene. The whole point is that she comes out completely naked — it’s the card she’s playing,'” Robbie explained.
In the film, Margot’s character had several daring scenes with Leonardo DiCaprio. The actress re-recorded her audition five times because her team felt it wasn’t good enough.
She also recalled making a bold move during the casting process. She splashed water on Leonardo’s face and then kissed him unexpectedly, which ultimately helped her secure the role.
