Soon, royal parents Kate and William will have to make a decision about the future education of their eldest son, George. Sources have revealed that the Prince and Princess of Wales are currently discussing where to send George after he finishes his preparatory school. Reports suggest that the couple is struggling to reach an agreement. Royal expert Katie Nicholl told journalists that Middleton wants the 11-year-old to attend a co-ed school in England so he can be with his siblings, but her husband has different plans.

This is similar to Kate’s experience at Marlborough, where she studied with her sister Pippa and brother James. It was a very happy time for her, but William has fond memories of Eton, a school with a long history tied to aristocrats and royal family members, explained Nicholl.

An insider revealed that William is eager for George to attend the prestigious boys’ boarding school in Eton, where both he and his brother, Prince Harry, studied. George is reportedly excited about the prospect, which is why Kate is “heartbroken,” as she finds the school too “stifling.” There is also a possibility that George may not follow in his father’s footsteps, as William didn’t attend the Scottish boarding school that his father, King Charles III, went to.
