With his powerful rendition of “Make It Rain,” the Indonesian singer, who is a passionate fan of blues and soul, left the audience in awe. His deep, soulful voice captivated everyone, but Simon Cowell quickly stopped the performance.
Cowell admitted, “You have a great voice, but I didn’t like the song choice,” as the crowd voiced their displeasure. “Do you have anything else?”
Khan nodded and began performing “No Woman, No Cry,” a deeply personal song his father used to play for him. This time, his heartfelt performance and impressive range had both the judges and the audience on their feet.
Sofia Vergara called his voice “spectacular,” while Heidi Klum praised his “unique, sexy, raspy voice.” Even Cowell, despite his earlier critique, confessed, “I absolutely love your voice.”
“It’s rare to hear a voice like yours—memorable and emotional,” Howie Mandel added. “You’re great.”
Khan received four enthusiastic yeses and shared that if he won the $1 million prize, he would use it to build an animal sanctuary. The audience is eager to see what this talented, passionate performer will do next.
